Reactie Fiba Europe:
‘We would like to apologise for any distress caused by the latest fibaeurope.com power rankings. Obviously to upset any member federation, or individual fan, for anything more than the subjective ranking of their team
was never the intention of these bi-weekly articles.
The power rankings are of course written in a subjective manner with no statistical or theoretical grounding to them. They are created in a light-hearted manner to create friendly debate amongst basketball fans
throughout Europe, and it is intended for them to be treated like so.
In the future we will be sensitive towards the comments made about individual nations, and will also place a disclaimer at the top of each article to remind readers that the articles are indeed subjective.’
